What input formats does the Shadow Generation API accept?

JPEG, PNG, WEBP, AVIF, HEIC, and other common formats (PNG with transparency supported). For best results, send products on a transparent or clean background. Need to clean the input first? Pair with the Claid Background Removal API.

What’s the difference between Front and Flat shadow modes?

Front view places the object on a surface with a realistic drop shadow. It's the default for catalog product images. Flat / top-down radiates the shadow directly under the object, matching an overhead camera angle. Use it for flat lays, food grids, and merchandise photography.

How is pricing structured? Do you offer volume discounts?

Claid uses a credit-based system. Operations cost 1–10+ credits depending on complexity. Self-serve API plans start at $59 for 1,000 credits. What about data security and compliance?

Images are processed over HTTPS. Enterprise and custom plans add data isolation (your images are not used for model training), SLAs, regional processing, and DPA agreements. Talk to our team for details.
