Grok Imagine video generator for product and ecommerce
Turn the product, food, or fashion photos you already have into short image-to-video clips with synced sound. Use it in Claid, or run it across thousands of listings through the API.
Trusted by marketplaces and brands that move at catalog scale
A silent clip reads as a demo. The same clip with sound reads as footage.
Shoppers can't pick up your product, so sound is the closest thing to touch: weight, texture, freshness. A zipper that sounds solid reads as a jacket that's made well.
What is Grok Imagine?
Grok Imagine is xAI's generative model for images and video. It generates and edits images, and animates a still photo into a few seconds of video. In image-to-video mode, the video comes with native sound.
Claid runs it as the engine behind image to video, and adds the product workflow around it:
Photo generation & cleanup
Product-aware prompting
Catalog-scale API
Custom enterprise workflows
One image plus a short prompt becomes a few seconds of sounded motion. Effects land with the on-screen action and spoken lines can be lip-synced, though read and volume vary between takes.
Grok image to video for every kind of catalog
All examples are illustrative AI-generated demo assets. The products, people, labels, and spoken lines are hypothetical, and show video behavior rather than claims about a real product or brand.
Product
Beauty droppers, soda cracks, jewelry sparkle. The drip, the clink, the fizz: product ASMR is what wins sound-on placements.
Food and drink
The sizzle sells. A static dish becomes a sounded loop: searing, pouring, fizzing. One render per listing.
Fashion
Fabric that moves and sounds real: a zipper pull, a coat swish, an on-model turn. Pairs with AI Fashion Models, generate the on-model still, then bring it to life.
Home and furniture
The soft-close drawer click, the creak of solid oak. The sound of build quality, for listings where that's the sell.
How it works
1. Start from a clean photo.
The clip inherits everything from the source frame, including its flaws. Upload your photo, enhance or upscale it, or generate the scene right in Claid first.
2. Describe the motion and the sound.
Type what should happen in plain words. The Prompt Assistant turns it into a proper prompt, sound direction included, and keeps the clip quiet unless you ask for sound.
3. Get a short video with sound.
A few seconds of clip with synced audio, ready for feeds, product pages, and menu tiles. Generate a couple of takes for a hero clip and pick the best.
Claid turns Grok Imagine into a product video workflow: clean the source photo, guide the prompt, and run the same photo-to-clip setup across a catalog.
A clean source, in one place.
Enhance, upscale, or generate the product photo before you animate it, so the clip doesn't inherit a soft frame.
A product-aware Prompt Assistant.
Describe what you want in plain words and it writes the prompt for you, including the direction that holds the product, label, and texture stable, and a near-silence default so the clip stays quiet unless you ask for sound.
Catalog scale through one API.
The same photo-to-clip runs once per listing across thousands of products, with API access and Workflows that combine enhancement, generation, and beyond.
Animate a whole catalog, not one photo at a time
For marketplaces, delivery apps, aggregators, and large retailers, the math is the point: one static photo becomes a sounded loop, one render per listing, thousands per run. Not just small goods, the same render covers a sofa, an appliance, a vehicle.
Custom pipelines go further: polished talking-head clips, localized voice variants for different markets, category-specific motion, and output rules for each destination.
Yes. Give it one starting image and a prompt describing the motion and sound, and it animates the image into a few seconds of video. In Claid, you can clean or generate the source photo first, then animate it in the same place.
How do you use Grok Imagine for product video?
Start from one sharp product photo, then describe the camera move, the one main action, what must stay stable, and the sound. In Claid, you can type that in plain language and the Prompt Assistant turns it into a product-ready prompt. For examples, use the Grok Imagine prompt guide.
Does the video have sound?
Yes. Sound is generated together with the video, so effects and ambience are in sync and spoken lines are roughly lip-synced. The model always produces audio, so in Claid you control it through your description: name a sound to direct it, or describe nothing and the Prompt Assistant keeps the clip near-silent.
How long are the clips, and what resolution?
Clips are short and best kept to a few seconds for product work. In Claid today, Grok Imagine product clips use 720p mode, which covers feeds, product pages, menu tiles, and short ads. If you run Grok Imagine outside Claid, check xAI's current model settings and output options.
Can it make a person talk?
It can generate a roughly lip-synced spoken line from a single photo. Voices are convincing but not studio-grade, and the read varies between takes, so generate a few and pick the best. It's great for UGC-style variations, not a replacement for a scripted voiceover.
Is there a Grok Imagine API for video?
Yes. xAI has its own API for direct model access, and Claid exposes image to video through the Claid API for product workflows. That means you can animate product photos programmatically and run the same operation across a full catalog, with Workflows that chain enhancement and generation in one call.
Is Grok Imagine free, and where do I use it?
Grok Imagine is xAI's own tool, available through xAI's apps and API; pricing and free access are set by xAI and can change, so check xAI for current terms. For product and ecommerce video, Claid runs the same engine with photo cleanup, a product-aware Prompt Assistant, and catalog-scale workflow on Claid credits. New Claid accounts include trial credits you can use to test a short clip.
Is this the same as xAI's Grok Imagine?
Grok Imagine is xAI's model. Claid uses it as the engine behind image to video, then adds the product workflow around it: photo cleanup, a product-aware Prompt Assistant, and catalog-scale API automation. For direct consumer or raw model access, use xAI's own Grok tools.
What makes a good result?
Start from a sharp, well-lit photo with one clear product and a bold wordmark. Direct one believable motion, give the important sound a visible source, and keep the clip short. The cleaner the source, the better the clip.
Turn the sound on
Open a product photo, describe what it should sound like, and see what comes back.
